Do the Lutron switches not require a Lutron hub in order for HA to control them? I have Insteon now, but I’m looking for a switch type that does not require a proprietary hub for my new house, ideally Matter over Thread type.
OK, I’m old and don’t understand the entire smart home thing. What’s the big deal about being able to turn lights on from your cell phone? I can certainly see ‘wow, neat’ but after that, what’s the advantage? OK you can dim but you can do that with a normal light switch. Consider this 25% poking fun and 75% honest questions. Thanks for sharing.
